About Us
Judith Cheney, President graduated from Wayne State University and has a background in social work, real estate, mortgage banking and internet sales. She and a partner developed The Rosemary Company, an online gift and special occasion company, in 1994 when the internet was in its infancy.
As an older adult, the challenge of starting an online business was daunting, but exciting. As proof of its success, the Michigan based company, which started as a home business, recently built and moved into an 8,000 square foot building.
One of her goals, as she and her husband neared retirement, was to spend winters in a warmer climate. So, in 2002 they bought a mobile home in a seniors park, set up a home office and started wintering (and working) in Florida. When a friend wanted to sell her mobile home and asked for help, Judy immediately turned to the internet and found resources sorely lacking. This resulted in the creation of Seniormobiles.com, which has the goal of being the best resource in the world for seniors seeking manufactured housing in 55+ communities.
Ellen Figueroa, Vice President of Business Development
Ellen, who has a background in sales and customer service, partnered with Judy Cheney in the development of The Rosemary Company and presently manages that business. She is also involved in the financial operations and with customer service for Seniormobiles.com
Joanna Kind - Vice President of Marketing
Graduated in 2004 with Honors from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Her Bachelors Degree is in Sociology and Marketing, and she has extensive experience in management and customer service. She enjoys working with buyers and sellers and has a special interest in working with seniors. Joanna appreciates the opportunity to assist in the growth of Seniormobiles.com.
Janell Ristau, Marketing Associate
Janell graduated from Purdue University and has over 18 years of real estate sales, marketing and most recently, mortgage banking experience. Helping to develop an internet based company with her previous employer, Judy Cheney, seemed like a great challenge. She was also personally interested in affordable housing in a warmer climate and now lives in Florida, in a senior manufactured home community.
Rich Agnew, IT Manager
Rich is based near Toronto Canada and has been involved in Web development, Internet consulting and SEO technology for over 12 years. Rich is the owner of The Computer-Geek, an active and growing web development and design company specializing in creating custom web applications. Though the company was started up in 1998, Rich's interest and experience in computers, the internet and all matters web-related goes back 30 years. His expertise allows SeniorMobiles.com to use state of the art technology and to keep its reputation as the premier resource for seniors seeking affordable housing.
